Fertility treatment developed by PIONEERS of IVF Professor Robert Edwards and Dr. Patrick Steptoe will now be offered in India.

United Kingdom based Bourn Hall Clinic, the world’s first and best known assisted conception Clinic, established by IVF pioneers Professor Robert Edwards and Dr. Patrick Steptoe in 1980, launched its first IVF clinic in India. The new assisted conception clinic in Kochi will provide a range of fertility treatment services to the high ethical and quality standards set by Bourn Hall Clinic in the UK.

It was Professor Edwards’ pioneering work with Patrick Steptoe that led to the birth of the world’s first ‘test-tube’ baby. Louise Brown on 25 July 1978. In 2010 Professor Robert Edwards was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the development of the IVFtechnique.

Opening Bourn Hall Clinic in India, is a step towards achieving the dream of the founders, of making fertility treatment widely available to all who need.
